The U.S. Supreme Court caused an uproar on May 3 when a draft decision, obtained by Politico, revealed that the conservative-majority court would ostensibly be voting in favor of overturning Roe v. Wade, a landmark court case which provides federal protections of abortion and a woman’s right to choose. The majority draft opinion, written by Justice Samuel Alito, argues that Roe was “egregiously wrong from the start” and “must be overruled,” according to the outlet.

In the weeks since the bombshell report — and given the fact that many states have already passed or are working to pass trigger laws that would automatically ban abortion in the first and second trimesters if Roe v. Wade were overturned — activists, politicians, celebrities, and sections of the public have denounced the possible SCOTUS decision and the far-reaching consequences it could have on women, people of color, and others. Now, several members of the Grey’s Anatomy cast are adding their voice to the conversation.

In the self-made PSA video, Ellen Pompeo, Kevin McKidd, Chandra Wilson, Kim Raver, Kelly McCreary, Caterina Scorsone, and Kate Burton urge women to know their options as they share reproductive information.

“Knowledge is power. It's time for you to be in the know,” Pompeo says in the clip. The video message aligns with and leads people to the Bedsider Birth Control Support Network, an online organization that helps women, ages 18 to 29, get access to birth control. “Remember, you can get pregnant the first time you have sex. You can get pregnant if you don't consent. … Share this information with your friends. Keep a woman powerful. You are powerful.”

For more information on your rights and what reproductive health options are available to you now, visit Bedsider.org or the many other organizations currently working to protect women's healthcare.
