After bringing you deep dives into hit shows like Bridgerton, Katie Lowes’ indispensable guide on all things motherhood, intimate conversations with minds like Laverne Cox and Ali Wentworth, and titillating true crime, Shondaland Audio is gearing up for a brand-new podcast that could quite literally expand your mind. Iyanla Vanzant, renowned author, public speaker, and television personality is bringing her relationship expertise to The R Spot, a weekly hour-long podcast coming early 2022.

Vanzant is among the most influential, socially engaged, and acclaimed spiritual life coaches of our time, and now she wants to expand what she’s learned to the all-accessible world of podcasts. The R Spot is going to bring listeners into the fold with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to be a part of the show by submitting questions with the chance of having them answered directly by Vanzant each week. Listeners will engage in conversations that will examine, explore, dissect, and investigate relationship issues — both romantic and otherwise — before and after a crisis, all under the guidance of Vanzant. (Don’t you wish you had this available in the midst of your last friend fight?!) Relationships, in all their messy gloriousness, are at the heart of so many commonly experienced challenges, and Vanzant wants to help all of us learn how to be better as individuals so that we can be better collectively.

Vanzant is probably best known for the hit OWN series Iyanla, Fix My Life, which she hosted for 10 seasons until May 2021. She began her life in the Brooklyn projects and has since gone on to earn a law degree, a Ph.D., has written six New York Times best-selling books (in addition to nine others), and won an Emmy award. Vanzant has dedicated her life’s work to facilitating the growth and evolution of human consciousness, and The R Spot will be a continuation of that work.

We’ll have more information on all things Iyanla and The R Spot soon, so make sure you keep an eye out and subscribe at iHeart, Apple, or wherever you get your favorite podcasts.
