From the first wisps of soft, purple wisteria to the Bridgerton family’s bevy of blues to the Featheringtons’ acidic hues, Bridgerton has always been a world in which color plays a crucial role in the visual storytelling. The series’ look is a nod to period without being period itself and instead brings in modern aesthetics, textures, and techniques. This is precisely why Bridgerton makes a perfect backdrop for the intertwining of colorful creative passions.

To that end, legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath — the founder and CEO of Pat McGrath Labs — has partnered with Shondaland and Netflix to create the first-ever beauty collaboration for Shondaland’s hit series. Inspired by the Ton and all its colorful inhabitants, the love and lust, the passion, the betrayal, the fun and the tragic, the Bridgerton collection, debuting on McGrath's website starting December 26, celebrates not only the verdant artistry of the series but also the mutual admiration between McGrath and the show’s executive producer Shonda Rhimes.

“Like so many people,” says McGrath, “I fell in love at first swoon with Bridgerton. I have always been obsessed with Regency era beauty and was thrilled to interpret the era with a modern homage.”

“Pat and her team at Pat McGrath Labs have pushed the luxe modernity of Bridgerton beyond the screen with this collaboration, and we are excited to share it with the world,” says Sandie Bailey, Shondaland’s chief design and digital media officer. “She is an icon and a global force in the beauty and fashion industry and shares a creative passion for projects that evoke emotion, making her a perfect partner as we expand the Bridgerton world. Pat’s dedication to accessibility for all skin tones in addition to high-caliber products is unmatched, making this collection a must-have for the Bridgerton audience and Pat McGrath consumers alike.”

The limited-edition cosmetic collection is a modern, royal palette focusing on tonal inclusion with three brand-new products, each in their own covetable and collectible packaging. There’s the Diamond of the First Water eye palette, with six ultra-regal, creamy powder eye colors, including iridescent blue astral and platinum rose metallic, that will make you the talk of the Ton. The Divine Blush + Glow Trio: Love at First Blush is a gel-based powder that infuses modern-day romance with beguiling glows of Regency-inspired romance. Lastly, the limited-edition shade of Skin Fetish: Sublime Skin Highlighter — a Bridgerton-inspired, pearl-infused, gel-powder highlighter — allows for endlessly customizable illumination with the sweep of a brush.

Pat McGrath is one of the most influential and sought-after makeup artists in our world today. Her attention to detail and willingness to experiment cover every facet of beauty, ranging from everyday looks applied with fingers instead of brushes to high glamour and avant-garde creations that include feathers and ornaments in her designs. McGrath’s creative vision has put her at the top of many a beauty list, and her looks are spread across the stage, screen, and digital media. McGrath has designed the makeup looks for countless runway shows, breakthrough advertising campaigns, and editorial spreads. In 2015, she launched her own eponymous brand, Pat McGrath Labs, and she continues to break down beauty barriers with each new look and idea in her own defiantly decadent way.
