Long live the king. While Queen Charlotte is the heart of Shondaland’s hit Netflix series Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, her husband, King George, is essential to understanding how the monarch came to be the way she is. In this video, actor Corey Mylchreest discusses embodying George — who is “sort of shocked by Charlotte” — the character’s personal ailments, and the central relationship between the king and his queen. Mylchreest reflects on George and Charlotte’s love for each other, describing them as “two stars that are pulled in by each other’s gravity.” The video also features interviews with cast members India Amarteifio, Michelle Fairley, and Freddie Dennis, who discuss George’s relationships and how they grew together on set.
